New York Fashion Week has come and gone leaving runway shows and style trends behind. All of us are now sifting through Vogue.com thinking about what new trends we think we can pull off from the fall inspired runway shows. For those who don’t want to sift through the 75 trends on Vogue.com, I made a list of three trends that pretty much everyone will be sporting in just a few months from now.
Leather coats & Trenches
Designers sent models down the runway in carefully crafted sleek leather coats and trenches. Banana Republic‘s Brown Leather Coats were my some of my favorite pieces that walked down the runway. Polo Ralph Lauren killed the game with a beautiful knee-length Brown Leather coat.

Plaid never seems to leave the runway for too long. Transitioning from spring, the plaid, checkered print was a staple on the fall runway this season. Rag & Bone
sent down a plaid inspired piece, but instead of the usual green and yellow color wheel they did it all in black and white. Incorporating black leather sleeves and a checkerboard inspired print, the bomber jacket was hands down a staple for plaid lovers and an ultimate favorite of mine.

Vivacious in velvet
Velvet is no longer just a thing of the 90s. The trend is back and I’m all about it! From Top Shop to American Apparel, millennials are living back in the 90s -no wonder it was the trend of the runway. Ralph Lauren
sent a floor length, low v neck gown that floated down the runway. Definitely one of my favorite pieces on the runway yet! Designers updated this trend with pieces in color. One particular velvet dress even made it onto the Vanity Fair Party carpet at the Oscars. Brie Larson shined in this light pink off the shoulder velvet gown.
